The Quote Block

Learn The Quote Block

The quote block is a block for displaying quotes in a visually distinct way. This block is fairly straightforward, to get started use the + button to add a new block and select “quote” (not to be confused with the “pullquote” block). This will add the quote block to your page and give you two fields, one for the quote itself and the other for its citation. Once you fill these in, your block will look like the screenshot below and you can contemplate one optional setting.

This image shows an example of the quote block. The example quote is, "To be or not to be, that is the question..." with proper citation below the quotation in the center of the screen.

Looking under styles in the block settings menu on the right-hand side of your page (circled in red in the screenshot below) you will find two options. These options pertain to the way the quote is displayed and are “Default” and “Large”. “Default” is the default and will display your quote at a normal size and boldness. Large will make your quote larger and bolder but not the citation. Beyond that, there are no additional settings for the quote block.

This image highlights the styles option in the center of the right-hand toolbar. The example styles selection use here is the default setting.

That’s all for the quote block. For help with other blocks, check out the full list of blocks we have guides on here.
