How Much Does a Website Cost?
The price of a new website ranges from $1,249 – $10,000+ and depends entirely on the size and complexity of the project. A simple, one-page site goes for our base price of $1,249, while, larger more feature-packed websites such as an e-commerce store, job board site, or realtors website would cost more. If you want to know how much the site you want would cost, you can check out our custom website packages here to get a good idea. We would also recommend that you contact us to set up a free 30-minute consultation where we can learn about your project and offer you the best deal possible for your requirements and budget.
What is the Expected Turnaround on a Website
Similar to estimating the cost of a website, it is difficult to estimate the turnaround because every project is unique. With that said, our standard turnaround ranges anywhere from 4-12 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the site. Once we know what the scope of the project is, we can deliver a very accurate estimate of how long the turnaround will be.
Beyond this, if time is a concern, we can deliver a project in half the time of our original estimate for an added 25% on the original price. Regardless of your timeline, our Asheville web development services are likely a good fit.
Why Should I Hire You Instead of Using Wix or Squarespace?
If you are in the process of deciding how you want to build your site, you are probably getting targeted ads from companies like Wix and Squarespace selling you on how cheaply and easily you can build a site using their platform. For some people (people who don’t care about getting visitors to their website), these platforms are the right fit, but they are not “one size fits all” solutions for web development.
These types of sites often load incredibly slowly (which keeps Google from ranking you high), don’t offer many customization options, and lock you in on a lifetime subscription model where you never own your site. While it costs more money up-front to have a custom site developed by a professional, in the long run, you will make more money off of a website like this and spend significantly less money to keep it online.
If you are trying to decide how you want your site to be built, we encourage you to reach out and pick our minds about it. If we talk and it seems that Wix or Squarespace is the right solution for you, we promise not to sell you on our web development services. If it seems like something custom would fit your needs better, we will tell you exactly why and then let you decide for yourself.
Will I Need to Pay You To Make Content Edits on My Site?
Absolutely not! We build sites that allow all of the content to be edited without ever having to write a line of code. Meaning, that if you or one of your employees would like to login and change some text or an image on your site, this will be able to happen with ease. We even offer free resources to support you or your team when making content changes.
That said, if you don’t want to handle content edits yourself, we would be happy to make content edits for you if you sign up for one of our website support & care packages.
My Website is Already Designed, Can You Develop It?
Absolutely! We have experience working with mockups created in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, HTML/CSS, and can also go off of just a picture. That said, if you have a designer who you like but need the best developers to turn the designs into a well functioning site, we would be eager to be those developers!
What Happens if We No Longer Want To Work Together?
We make sure that every aspect of your website is owned and controlled by you. We just have a spare key. If something were to happen to us, or if you just wanted to take your business elsewhere, you could do this with ease.
Will You Teach Me How to Manage My Site Once it is Developed?
Absolutely! Before we were designers and developers of amazing websites in Asheville, NC, we were teachers of technology. Meaning, that once your website is built, we will take all the time required to make sure you understand how to upkeep your site if that is something you are interested in. Empowering small businesses is our favorite thing, and knowing that you feel like you have full ownership of your site brings us nothing but joy.
